the quotidian (7.22.24)

Quotidian: daily, usual or customary;
everyday; ordinary; commonplace

Hotdogs: just a vehicle for the relish.

For better spreadability: warming up the butter shavings.

Dang holey cukes.

Lodi sauce, our fave.

Simplest salad.

Homemade is not easier than store-bought.

When your friend’s a star baker, and generous, too.

Garden rubies.

Veggie dog.

Travel tales.

Birthday money branch.

March messages.

Kitchen cleaner.

Heatwave.

This same time, years previous: peach pie with bourbon and fresh rosemary, the quotidian (7.20.20), Italian meringue buttercream, lemony cream cheese frosting, all practicality, on his own, curry potato salad, beets, half-mast.

    I’ve been following you since you were featured by Lenore Skenazy ages ago and I’m really disappointed that you support a ceasefire without also calling for the release of hostages. Hamas started the war on 10.7 and we are witnessing an ugly war, but not a genocide. A genocide was perpetrated on 10.7. Copious aid is being sent to Gaza. Check out @mosheh and @bymoalem on ig for unbiased info.

    All that bounty! For better spreadability I process good butter with neutral olive oil. Spreads great and quickly on toast and is great to use as a garnish on cooked items. And it’s healthier as well. I don’t think it affects the butter flavor.
