From our tree: sweet but mealy-mushy (why?).
Mozzballs.
With white chocolate whip, blueberries, homemade butter, and maple syrup.
Love note from the milk man: 26 years.
My cousin came to visit and brought us treats.
After reading all your comments, and doing loads of research (this video was a clincher),
we finally opted for a simple replacement.
Corn king.
Pig slop upset.
The mushroom-growing saga continues.

This same time, years previous: sixteen miles, chomper, the quotidian (8.29.16), tomatoes in cream, it all adds up, they’re getting it, grape parfaits, chocolate yogurt cake.

Happy Anniversary to both you and your parents!
The pig slop wasn’t the prettiest, but the view behind you is beautiful! It almost looks as if you were plunked down in the middle of a postcard! The blue sky, the fluffy clouds!

If you are inclined, the fresh corn polenta from Alexandra Cooks is PHENOMENAL! You simply grate fresh corn on a cheese grater, then heat butter in a skillet and cook the grated corn for about 3 minutes. We served with roasted tomatoes and parm, as noted. So simple and good!

Pears should not be allowed to ripen on the tree. They should be harvested before they are ripe and then refrigerated for about 4 to 14 days depending on the variety of pear. After cold conditioning the pears can be brought back out to room temperature and then they will ripen properly in a few days.

Ahhh, we’ve been picking them green but not cold conditioning them. Thank you!

What is he going to do with all that corn?

Freezing it! We joined with several other families, ordered 40 dozen ears from a local farmer, and then processed them together. Many hands, light work, etc, etc….
