the quotidian (10.31.16)

Quotidian: daily, usual or customary;
everyday; ordinary; commonplace

Potatoes in cream.

If  only she were as fastidious about organizing her room…

In  lieu of dye.
Handwriting lessons.

On  its last leg: our sweet little car.
Sibling love: it’s complex.

This same time, years previous: listening, watching, reading, apple farro salad, stuffed peppers, quiche soup, apples schmapples, dusting the dough, and hamburger buns and sloppy joes.

    I ponder, as well as admire, how you and your husband manage to raise your family with such patience and grace. Your children's declarations of independence seem to be on the increase.. ear piercings, porch parking, pink hair (didn't know it was watercolor).. Happy seventeenth, to you and your son. And many more..

    The car on the porch is on it's last legs? If so, it had it's moment of fame and I wish I had a video of my husband reading that post! But, we feel your pain with a van at 12 years and a car at 16 years. It is man against machine now and we are determined to keep them going as long as it does not cost any real money.
