    Hello Jennifer – I've been following your blog for awhile now and love your recipes and the stories about your family. Your bread above looks wonderful. If you wouldn't mind, I have a few questions. What type of bread is it and is the recipe currently on your blog? And what did you do to get the bread on the left side of the photo to rise higher? By the way, your photos are beautiful.

      Hi Carolyn! The bread in the photo is my standard sourdough recipe:

      The bread seems to get a better rise when it's lidded for the first 20 minutes of baking — probably something to do with steam. I remove the lid for the second half so it can get nice and brown.

    Wait, is that a no knead dough? I have questions about that bread.

      Nope, my regular sourdough, but I baked it in a Dutch oven like you do the five-minute, no-knead bread. SO nice and crusty.
