an equally delicous Father’s Day present (that I ate).

Saturday, all day.
Struggling to stay above water.
Makeshift guestroom (didn’t work — the mosquitos ate them alive).
Everywhere she goes.
Island sitting.
This same time, years previous: puff!, smart hostessing, dobby and luna, street food, a glimpse, when I sat down, cold-brewed coffee and tea.

I love seeing all the pictures. Can you put mosquito netting over the doors or windows if you have to keep them open? Nothing worse than a bunch of mosquito bites.

The inside windows have screens (but not the doors). The mosquitoes aren't too bad in the house, though I guess that depends on who you talk to: the one girl was just fine while the other one got eaten up (60!) even though she was using bugspray.

You DO have earplugs, right? I hope so! I HATE noise and always carry a pair in my pocket for when I have to jump on the tractor or use the weed eater. You would especially need them when cutting concrete!!! I would send you some if you needed them. I have a box full of them.

Oh, yes, we have a ton of earplugs (and the kids doing the cutting were wearing them) — thank you!
