Christmas shorts.
We devoured nearly two full loaves in one evening.
Leftover candied oranges from the diner: what to make??
My younger son stepped up for gingerbread duty.
My get-off-the-phone-now-and-hurry-up-already face.

Nearly ready to transition from field to freezer (and yes, I’m a little verklempt).

This same time, years previous: rock on, Mama!, ludicrous mashed potatoes, 2016 book list, the quotidian (12.21.15), on my to-do list, toasty oatmeal muffins, Christmas pretty, middle of the night solstice party, lemon cheesecake tassies.

Your Christmas shorts cookies look so festive! I looked for them in your list of recipes, but couldn’t find them. Will you please share the recipe, or tell me if they’re sugar cookie bars? Thanks Jennifer!

I found the recipe on Joy the Baker. They are not hardly sweet at all, something that bothers my kids — they say they much prefer our regular butter cookies — but if you like a non-sweet cookie, you’ll probably love these.

Your posts stopped showing up in my Feedly when you switched your site over and I was so weirdly worried something had happened to you guys? Very relieved to have finally come to the source and found you all safe and sound and surrounded by baked goods. Happy holidays, Jen! Thanks for sharing here.
