Making me think

Some thoughts to chew on, from Marianne Williamson.

“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.

It is our light, not our darkness, that frightens us. You are a child of God. Your playing small doesn’t serve the world.

There’s nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you.

We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It’s not just in some of us, it is in everyone.

And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.

As we are liberated from our fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”

lifes sucks sometimes, but not all the time.

when I am depressed life sucks pretty much all the time. when I am not depressed life seems ok and even sortof fun.

it is a state of mind. keep taking the pills and if you have to, increase the dose.

This quote is highlighted in the film Akeelah and the Bee. I used it in my end-of-the-year note to students last year (and I will again this year).

    Amen and amen!
