My children’s haircuts cost considerably less than mine (er, I’d rather not go into any details, please—my conscience has totally chewed up my ankle over this one). Yo-Yo Boy had his first buzz a couple nights ago. I keep wanting to run my hand over his round head’s bristly softness.
Upkeep
Last night I got to go to town all by myself to get my hair cut. The shampoo smelled nice and expensive and Ann clipped lots of layers into my hair, making it feel light and wispy. It’s nice not being a mushroom-head anymore, for a few weeks, at least.
News Alert!
I am sitting at my desk with my coffee, it is 6:22 am, and The Baby Nickel is still asleep in bed with Yo-Yo Boy. He did not get up to come over to our room the whole entire night!
I would’ve slept the whole night, too, except that Mr. Handsome woke me up at five trying to figure out where The Baby Nickel was, “Is he okay? Is he okay?” I muttered that he was fine; he probably fell down the stairs or something and Mr. Handsome could go check if he wanted, but I was going to sleep.
And then it was six o’clock and Sweetsie was calling for a drink and still no sign of The Baby Nickel. Wow.
