Sweet art.
Cream-filled donuts: an experiment…
…that still needs work.
Sneaking tastes is more efficient if the ice cream is stored with the lid off and a spoon in the box.
No sugar added: ginger gold sauce.
I spy a bookworm.
Certified!
I remember doing this when I was a kid.
Researching how to make a windmill: his latest obsession.

When I’m gone
You’re gonna miss me when I’m gone….
This same time, years previous: what writing a book is like, the good things that happen, 2012 garden stats and notes, blasted cake, the best parts, grilled salmon with lemon butter, and hot chocolate.

Are they praying over the red cups? What will be gone? Something under the cups??
Jennifer Jo
Haha! No, they're doing the cup song! I'll add a link. (Can't stop giggling now.)

I watched it…I see now.

Country music?

What is the "it" that you remember doing? (Scribbling incoherently? Filling whole pages with text? I can't quite make out the meaning behind that picture+caption and I'm curious!)
Cream-filled donuts remind me of our Polish paczki (which are more or less jam-filled donuts). I can't have grains and though I've found a way to imitate most baked goods with nut flours and other ingredients, the deep-fried, jam-filled donut just won't happen. And it's the only floury thing I actually miss!

Make-believe writing. Pages of illegible scrawling. I used to "write" pages during church services.
Jam-filled donuts sound so cozy!

Aleksandra, we live in an area with much Polish people and we can buy paczki at the grocer bakery.

Are you in love with that apple corer? Does it work well?
Jennifer Jo
Yes! We've had it for years and it's my number one peeler and corer. So basic and straightforward.

Has your windmill maker read this? Very inspiring and comes in Young Reader's edition too. His TED talks are also inspiring!

That is such a great book! His older sister just finished it (his older brother read it a couple years ago) and so he picked it up and was reading parts of it. I'm encouraging him to finish it, but I think it may be a little over his head. We also watched the TED talks. So fascinating!

Have you seen the Young Readers Edition? The picture book is also beautiful!
