I am starting a site that will walk you through the whole process of making sourdough bread, complete with pictures and commentary, of course. There will be a link over on the right of this page—just click on the picture and it will take you there. I will note, under the picture, the date of the most recent post at that site, so you will be able to see, just from looking at the link, whether or not it is worth your time to click on it. I plan to get the whole thing up and running sometime today.

If I were to use someone else’s bathroom and saw a large jar of fermenting “whatever” setting on the shelf across from me I would most certainly think they were loosing their marbles. But than if it were at JJ’s house I would just ask what on earth it is, being sure there would be an interesting explanation.

Yep. I can’t think of a better name for this than “the baby.” Our friends with 4, going on 5, kids who have a bakery decided against sourdough bread. As they put it, it would be like having another kid to take care of. Buena suerte!
